Sanctification
In raising my daughters, the power of uniqueness was a core value that in hindsight I believe was foundational to most of the other teachings and guidances that I gave them. I provided it to them in reaction to my own growing up where being different was a challenge. I felt so by myself in most of the things that I did, and it was because others did not and could not understand. So, when I wanted validation from my own family, I did not get it. When I wanted help from those I was closest to, they could not give it. I got so much direction, encouragement and validation from people whom I was not very close to or simply did not know. So I taught my daughters to manage their own expectations in this regard by embracing their uniqueness. Others may not or even will not understand you and what you do, but don’t let this stop or hinder you!! God is doing the same in this scripture.
We as faithful believers preach the cross of Christ and its atoning power which opens the door to the fullness of God in our lives.
However, the non-believer will see it all as foolishness because they CANNOT see beyond the required faith needed to get engaged!!!
