Speaking in Tongues
There are denominations that use speaking in tongues as the primary indication that someone is save. There are people that use speaking in tongues as a way to tell other folks that they are more “holy” than their peers. Even leaders use speaking in tongues as a mystical presentation as oppose to it being the expression of a mystery. There are those arenas that see speaking in tongues is a “heavenly language” in the sense that no other language is like it. Then other say that speaking in tongues is to speak in a language that you just did not know before. There are unknown tongues. There are other tongues. So much thought to bring about so much confusion! I don’t worry about it. If the Holy Spirit wants me to speak in a language that makes others to know that God is at work, I am here for it. If God wants me to speak in a language that other recognize as being “holy” to excite and amazed people, done deal!!!
If God wants me to shut up and let a tear say the whole story, I am humble and confident enough to do just that!!!
