Church vs. Truth
Why do we go to church on Sunday instead of Saturday? Why do we give offerings even after being in the New Testament dispensation of Grace? These are questions that people struggle with all the time in and around church. The struggle is not with the truth or logic. The struggle is with their own flesh and desire. Paul gave resolution to people and their questions by outlining these simple truths and objectives. Go to church at the first day of the week so that you can then give offering out of the resources of their own work and storage. If this is done then there won’t be a need to do this later. The church will have what is needed. We hold back from God and our own obedience which leaves the church in a deficit. Then tithes and offerings have to be asked. Then ways of luring people to church and to offering have to be leveraged which leaves a bad taste in most people’s mouths. If people would only do what the bible teaches…all would be simpler!
