Keeping It Real About Sin
Thank you, Paul, for being transparent and even downright honest in this scripture. Your truth has served to liberate me from the bondage of my self even more every time I read it! The Apostle Paul took the opportunity to “keep it real” with us in this scripture in First Timothy by going step farther than he did in Romans 3:23. He not just one of “all” sinners. Here he tells us that he was the “chief” of sinners. His sin was just an instantaneous mistake.
His sin was a chronic activity that served to both adorn and substantiate his very character and reputation to others…. THAT’S BAD!!
But, the testimony in Paul’s story is that God’s grace, mercy, love, deliverance, regeneration, and commission worked EVEN for him…so it can definitely work for us. Paul murdered Christians daily and when he came to God, God did not turn him away.
God is faithful to ALL sinners REGARDLESS of the sin!
Thank my God that He wants and can cover ME! Thank my God that he loves and wants to use ME! Thank my God that he knows and wants to know ME!
