Keep It Real!
The grace and mercy of God is amazing in how they align the unworthy creation with their Holy Creator. The saving grace of God redeems us while the mercy of God allows us to be noticed in the first place. It is all powerful! Then on top of it all God’s perfect Love contextualizes all that we gain from God through Jesus, the Christ, as an adoptive miracle. The fact God considers us…MIRACLE. The act of God embracing us…MIRACLE. The plan of God saving us…MIRACLE. It is a miracle because we were far from Godly when God performed these miracles. Paul admits to his sin. Paul said that he was a blasphemer, persecutor and injurious…far from perfect. We must admit to the liar, whoremonger, murderer, covetous one, hater, etc. that we were.
It is ok to do so because the blood of Jesus covers all that from before so that we have the opportunity to live in relationship with God in spite of our sinful selves.
That is forgiveness!!! However, note that Paul tells us that this forgiveness is under the condition that we did it ignorantly in unbelief. We must not have known any better.
