We Ain’t Got Time For That!
The most dangerous folks in this world are not the proclaimed thieves, robbers, rapists and killers. When you have the exposure to them, you will KNOW exactly where they are coming from. However, the most dangerous folks are fake folks.
This is so true because fake folks will gain your trust, develop your closeness and make you let down your guard. Then they strike!
They fake it being the person or type of person that gets them what they want, then they unknowingly and unexpectedly switch to being who they really are. Even within the realm of Christendom we find this same dichotomy. God said in Revelation that He would rather you be HOT OR COLD but if you are LUKEWARM He would spit you out. I know why…you know what you are dealing with when one is hot or cold and you can help them. But lukewarm you want to leave alone cause you will waste your time. Timothy lays it out well. Fake folks or lukewarm folks have a “form of godliness”. They look like it but don’t have the “power” to substantiate it. Then, to top it, they don’t have that power because they DENY IT!!! They don’t want it cause it forces their alignment with truth and righteousness which they don’t want.
