Tithes Are Not Offering
Will a man rob God? Wow! Would we really want to rob God? Any true child of God would not. I would never want to steal from my beloved mother or father. When as a child I did, I felt the guilt. She had done so much for me that I had no right taking from her!!! It is more like the old gospel song that says “How Much Do I Owe?” However, this scripture in Malachi teaches us that we have been guilty of this with God. WE ROB GOD! We do so in how we are negligent in our tithes and offerings. This is not the preacher trying to get money. This is the fact that we fall short in our giving. God GAVE. Jesus GAVE. The Holy Spirit continually GIVES! So we should be obedient in our giving to God. Then there is the biggest point of understanding. It is God’s anyway!!!!! We are living on the grace of God’s provision and won’t even give God what is His! That is why it can be considered ROBBERY!
Let us GIVE as God has GIVEN to US!!! Amen!!!!!!
