Don’t Get It Twisted
In this life we will be presented with may opportunities to pledge our allegiance to principalities and powers that present themselves to be just as powerful as or even more powerful than God. They do this be presenting themselves as more conducive to our needs and desires and situations when truly they are not!
God makes it simple for us in this commandment when He just tells us to not put any other ahead of Him!
I love it! My God is telling me that even though He knows who will win out in the end He doesn’t want us to have to go through the trials and tribulations of having to experience the overcoming. Our very lives are on the line with every time that we put God to the “test”. We think that God is questioned but it is truly US that are questioning and even at life risk. 
Don’t play! Don’t even go there! It doesn’t matter how pretty she is or how handsome he looks. It doesn’t matter how much it makes sense or how it seems more beneficial. It doesn’t matter what others say or what our own intellect whispers. It doesn’t matter how afraid we may be or how confused we may get.
