The Spiritual vs. The Carnal
I thank my God for having revealed this scripture to me in a Sunday School class discussion. It was so encouraging to realize God’s telling us to basically don’t lose what you have! We have gone through so much and have pressed and suffered to get to where we are, and it can build sentiments of futility to hear that we need to TOTALLY deny self. We do need to always deny the CARNAL self, but the SPIRITUAL man that has been born needs to be nurtured and not denied. 
The critical element of this scenario is the wisdom to know the difference between the CARNAL and the SPIRITUAL self! If you don’t know the difference then you should start over. If you do, act accordingly. Live the spiritual and deny the carnal. If you will do this, then you will live! Most importantly, what we have worked so hard to establish will not be lost. The relationship, the discernment, the wisdom, the testimony, the faith and the power will remain and be used to overcome even this struggle!
