Prayer Changes Things!
The prayers of the righteous availeth much is a scripture that I grew up hearing in church over and over again. Prayer traditionally served as the powerful line of communication between the Creator and the creation. Prayer warns the enemy that the child has access to the Father. Prayer gives the servant access to his reward before the work is even finished. Prayer is the souls sincere desire for change…unspoken…unuttered! With all that prayer is to the believer, we cannot forget the most crucial need for prayer…OTHERS! Even though there is just you and God in your closet, you are supposed to have a heart! Then this scripture acknowledges a desire for others to be what a lot of times we are not ourselves..FILLED. Paul is praying that the church in Colossus is FILLED with wisdom, power, understanding. Paul’s love must have been selfless because we are always in need of at least one of these.
It takes a lot to give someone else something that you need yourself.
However, when you live by faith and not by sight, you can give to someone else because you trust that God will provide it to you!!!! Amen!!!
