The Last Day Is Near
The time will come when all of a sudden everything that we know now will be no more…including us!
This is a reality that we take for granted. I am amazed at even myself how I act as if tomorrow is already “on lock” when actually all that I know and aspire towards could be no more. An evening that I give to sleep could not roll to the next morning. My life could end, and the world could vanish. The scary part is that the bible documents that the destruction of this life and world will be by fire!!!! Fire not only brings an end but also preludes the suffering! Then let us not miss a key understanding in this scripture. This ominous destruction by fire will happen AS PART of the “day of the Lord” or when God creates a new Heaven and Earth. So much destruction must come with so much change and glory.
God is not punishing us. God is just doing what must be done to bring about the result that has been ordained…Divine Theocracy!
God must destroy in order him to plant and propel this world to Paradise! Destroy the flesh. Destroy the earth. Destroy the reality that we know for the eternity that the believer awaits!!!!
