Milk to Meat
There is no way that one who has solely been drinking milk can all of a sudden eat a 16 ounce steak. Their stomachs are not able to handle the steak because they have only been drinking milk to that point. There has to be a time when they are given baby food and then cereal and then soft table food and then soft meat and then steak. It is a process of gradual challenge so that the digestive system can get to the point of being able to handle digesting a tough but succulent steak. The same is the case when we look at the inception and then development of the believer.
God starts the believer off on what they can handle,
“Jesus loves me this I know for the bible tells me so”.
Then they move to more substantial concepts.
Then they move to more substantial situations.
Then they get to the point where God allows them to fall…then get up.
Then they get to the point where they have to walk with God by themselves when they can’t see Him.
It is all a process even in this case of conversion for the believer. However, note the scripture when it says that if all that you have eaten is milk then at any age you will NOT be able to handle meat.
