Stay In Your Lane!
Thank God that I don’t have to do everything!
I have a defined lane in which God wants me to live, walk and serve.
With every moment and every situation there can be a differently defined lane, but as long as I am constantly and consistently in fellowship and communication with God I will know what it is when it is time to dwell in it. This means that I can’t be a micro-manager. I can’t be the one who wants to have their hands in everything going on. I can’t be the one who has to see the results of what I began. I can’t be the one who will not touch something that I did not start. This means that I can’t be selfish. I have to be able to share both activity and accountability. Have to be able to, toughest of all, share the credit for what is going on. This means that I have to be what seems to be overly accountable. It is tough to be accountable for what you did not start or did not finish. The believer is in that situation. Paul planted, but Apollos watered. Paul could not stress about what Apollos was doing. Paul could not stress about who was getting the credit.
The crux of it all is faith in God and submission to the Will of God.
If these two values are in place, the individual just does what God says do…no more…no less!
