All Info Is Not Good…For Us
Socrates penned that “ignorance is the beginning of wisdom”. Paul tools this principle as a way to protect ourselves as believers against the wisdom of the world. There can honestly be times when people can exhibit a wisdom of and in this world that appears or seems to be sound. We first get distracted. Then we get intrigued. Then we become entranced. Then we align and involve our lives in this wisdom.
The question that is never addressed or answered is whether God has expressed or ordained this wisdom for our life.
Just because it sounds good does not mean that it is good. Just because is feels good does not mean that it does us good. Just because it produced good does not mean that is is good for us. But as Paul instructs, do not hold that against the person. They may not mean it for our bad. All we have to do is just let them go unto the foolishness of the world “rises to the top”, and then the person will have the opportunity to BECOME wise. They will recognize the foolishness of their word and deed and their natural proclivity toward truth will lead them to wisdom in God!
