An Experience With God
What we don’t oftentimes realize is that the closest that we can come to salvation is the partaking of the Lord’s Supper! What that means is that we are given the opportunity to experience change… conversion… instantaneously through the intaking of the Lord’s body and blood through the communion ordinance.
We need to take the opportunity and gift of the ordinance of Lord’s Supper.
With this we show and exemplify our desire to be LIKE Him. Other than this effort and activity, the rest of our salvation will happen when Jesus comes back. Jesus is gonna take care of the rest when He comes back.
In the example of the Lord’s Supper, we see that we need to get our stuff together and not let our flesh get in the way of our serving or honoring God.
I can remember when my grandmama used to let us as kids come up after church and eat the rest of the crunched up crackers from communion. We were hungry because of being at church all morning so those crackers were GREAT!
However, as an adult we cannot get caught up in self…it is about God!!!
