Fatal Consequences
When we get grown as men and women of God, we must truly face the “black and white”ness of scriptures like Romans 6:23. It is a tough pill but you have to swallow it. It is a hard saying. It is tight but it is right! I know now that there are consequences for my actions. If I sin, the consequences are death. However, if I believe and confess in God, I will have eternal life. Consequences are like a paycheck. Life “pays” you for the work that you do. There are different wages or payments for different actions. Sin gets you death, but belief in God gets you eternal life.
Therefore, if you are sinning, you can expect death. Don’t dodge it. Don’t deny it. Don’t try to destroy it! Know that your wages are coming….DEATH.
This is the point at which God offers a way out. God offers the GIFT of eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Instead of suffering an impending death, the believe can have eternal life! Wow! What a save!!!! We know that we deserve death because of our original and enacted sin, but God allows us to also expect and gain eternal life because of our choice to follow Jesus! Thank you, Father, for being an amazing grace that can save and cover a wretch like me!!!!!!!!!
