I’ve Fallen But I CAN Get Up
Grandmama always said “When you know better then you should do better!” That Tennessean idiom has haunted me throughout my life because, honestly, there are a good number of things that I KNOW is should or should not do, but I still do or don’t do them based on my own personal desires or preferences. CRAZY, huh! I will ignore what God has told and taught me and do what I know is imperfect in thought and action because it comes from me. WOW! The real kicker here is when I will INTEND and ACT in the right and will still end up doing the wrong!!! I don’t know how or when my right intent was transitioned to wrong act! Then when I try to figure it out I end up in another wrong with the frustration and pride that I employ to cover up for my own inadequacies and misunderstandings. This is ridiculous.
Why should we keep trying? Why should we keep struggling with a flesh that we know has a power that WE gave to it and can overtake us? When we fall why should we keep getting up?
I tell you why…CAUSE GOD GETS THE GLORY! I tell you why…CAUSE HIS GRACE IS SUFFICIENT! I tell you why…CAUSE GOD BLESSES ME TO BE ABLE TO GET UP!!! Amen!!!!!!!
