Love and Justice
Just because you are a believer, it does not mean that you can do whatever you want to do to and with folks and God will make it ok. We are accountable to being fair with people. We are accountable to being just and right by folks so that we can people can see that the children of God are just and merciful as God is Himself. So don’t act up on folks! We all know what it means to be fair so we should hold to it. The element that needs to be acknowledged here is that it is all in the context of true responsibility.
The other person and their actions are not the reason why we should show them respect.
The other person and their actions are not the reason why we should honour people. Our reason for honoring and respecting people is the Word of God. God tells us to love our neighbor as ourselves regardless of the neighbor’s flaws our tendencies. We do it because God wants us to and we want to be blessed. Obeying God is the path by which we can attain righteousness and grace. Through obedience we are blessed. Through treating people with Godly love, we are transformed to His likeness!
