The biggest problem with the people of God is not belief but perception. The people of God BELIEVE that Jesus is the Son of God. Hwover, there are soooo many discrepancies when it comes to the role that Jesus plays in our lives. The two greatest roles that we seek Jesus to fulfill are Lord and Christ. Usually we need Jesus to be one of the two. We need for Jesus to be “Christ” so that we can be delivered from our dejected state. Without Christ there is no salvation. Without Christ there is not deliverance. Christ is the mediator…the conector…the justifier!! Then we need Jesus to be “Lord” IN our lives. We cannot govern ourselves. We cannot lead ourselves. Jesus steps in to give us the direction, guidance and momentum to walk through our lives and gain eternal life in God. With Jesus as Lord we will make it to ur appointed destination. With Jesus as Lord we WILL gain the destination that God has set up for us. With each of these as options, most are happy. But the Word of God then tells us in Acts that we don’t have to choose. WE HAVE THEM BOTH. Jesus is both Lord and Christ in our lives. As Christ He gets us into relationship. Then as Lord HE leads and guides us along the way. AMEN!!!!
