God Provides…But Do We?
Money is a very sensitive subject in the institutional church. It is a sensitive subject for two reasons. Firstly, money in the church comes from the sacrifices of the people who attend or who have attended the church. When people sacrifice to give then they are sensitive to the requesting and the use of the money that they sacrifice to give. Secondly, people want to know what is happening to the money that is collected in the church. They know that it was given to God but they want to know where it goes. they know that it is given int he name of God, but they still want to know who is using it and how it is used. The bible teaches us that money should be reinvested into the community from which it comes. Those that have giving for the edification of those who have not. Those that can do for the protection and provision of those who cannot. When this is the case, there will not be anyone in need.
The church then becomes the manifestation of God’s provision and draws people under the trust that God will provide.
God provides for His children by using the people that He has called into His ministry…beginning with the Pastor!
