Should I Listen?
Who are you to try to tell me anything when YOU don’t know? Why am I letting you get me down when you are no authority in the first place? Why am I listening to somebody that don’t even really know themselves? I let myself get into these situations when I take my eyes off of God. There is so much comfort and strength in looking to the hills. There is so much clarity when we are focused on God. So why change that? I start to depend on people instead of my Creator…not a good situation. I start to look to what I can do and not what God can do…not a good situation. I start to focus on what I have done instead of being couched in what God has done…not a good situation.
The believer, which I am, must and I mean MUST stay focused on God.
When our eyes are on God, we flourish. When our eyes are no focused on God, we falter. We cannot have resentment toward the ones who have our attention because we give it to them. We can’t have resentment toward an object of our desire because we make it such an object. We must use the free will that we have to craft our liberation from and power over our that which serves to separate us from God…our sin and iniquity!
