Leaning On Jesus!
Trust is a powerful element of any relationship that we embrace. Trust serves as the guage by which the individual judges the closeness, power and reliability of a relationship. If you can’t trust someone, then you cannot be in a true relationship with them. I have found in my life that in this scenario you are in relationship with who you want them to be and NOT who they are. However, when there is trust then there is allowed and perceived oneness between two individuals. The nugget of the relationship becomes not the giving but the giving IN. “I allow you to impact who I am because I trust that who you are will make me a better person.” “I allow myself to let go of my own preconceived expectations and embrace the new ‘one’ in us.” These are the declarations of one who trusts the person that they are marrying. or are in relationship with. The same construct applies with God.
If you don’t trust God, you won’t give Him your live and living.
It is only human to hold back, see before believe, get before you give. But with God we must go beyond our own humanity to trust God. How do you do it? ….by ENTRUSTING God with our life and living!
