Something’s Gotta GIVE
Giving is a sensitive subject when you get to the church culture for believers. There has been so much manipulation, deception and greed that has infiltrated the church community that generally people do not “trust” the church. There are pastors out there who will drive to church in their new mercedes and pass church members at the bus stop. This scenario germinates the distrust that the world has for the church…even with believers!
The only way to counterbalance this scenario and to not have to require that pastors be poor is to lift the biblical principal of GIVING.
The believer must learn to give and to do it overtly. It is in the giving that the believer is qualified and positioned for the blessing that God has for them. The action seals the mindset. The gift frees the space for more. When you do not give, you block your own blessing to be received. The believer is held accountable to giving of their Treasure, Talent and Time. The Treasure of the believer are the possessions that the believer has and holds as valuable . The Talent is the skill that the believer brings to the table. Then there is the Time. Yes, the believer is supposed to give Time. GIVE and God will give to you….as will other people also!
