Do You Understand?
The scripture says “But God raised Him from the dead”. In church we say this all the time but do we really realize what we are saying. Do we truly realize what is going on here? Do we truly realize what is happening in this statement? Jesus is God. God is Jesus. Jesus died. God was not dead. God brought Jesus back to life. Faith is not a blind state of being. We can have faith and still SEE. LOOK at the tenets of our faith in Jesus! They make absolutely no sense at all to the human intellect or rationale. I am not afraid to say that trying to wrap my mind around these things happening is actually futile. It’ s doesn’t work.
However, where my intellect stops is where my faith starts.
I won’t say it doesn’t matter because it does. I do want to know and I do want to understand. That is only natural. Then even God’s Word rives us to KNOW and the get UNDERSTANDING. It is just that when I don’t know and can’t understand I lean on God. As long as God knows, then I have peace when I don’t. Sometimes, then, my understanding is “in God”. What that means is that I don’t understand but God is sovereign and preeminent. The understanding that I don’t have is in Him. “We will understand it better by and by”
