Falling In Love With Jesus
This whole divine relationship thing is tough. Establishing communication with God is tough enough. Then there is hearing God’s direction and correction. Then there is heeding to God’s direction and correction.
However, I would like to propose that the most difficult component of this relationship with God is that God actually requires and expects us to apply ALL that He gives us.
The Bible already puts more out there than a lifetime could even contain, and then God is looking to have us hear, respond and heed to everything that He dynamically TELLS us too…WOW! Human nature is good a relegating our actions to align with our intentions when they really do not. We work it so that we can feel that we did enough to be OK. It is the “just enough” mentality that plagues all of our relationships in life. We want to do “just enough” when we know ALL that is required or requested. However, we can’t fall into that carnal trap! God wants ALL. It may not happen in the beginning, and it may not happen all of the time, but GRACE has been given to fix the brokenness. Thank You, Father! Even when I don’t DO all that I should, God allows me to maintain my relationship with Him by GIVING ALL!!!
