It’s All About Faith
As I typed the word faith, my eyes began to tear up. Why? Because faith is the only vehicle by which I can see, feel and understand beyond what I can see, feel and understand. The Bible talks of what the patriarchs and matriarchs of the bible did by faith. But I can testify of the power and reality of faith in my life. By faith, I loved and trusted my mother when I relied on my grandparents. By faith, I found comfort in the Holy Spirit telling me that He would be my Father after I learned that my father had died in a fatal car accident. By faith, I could not hit Brian Petty in fight after school and knew that it was God who stopped me. By faith, I pressed my way to church even when my mother could not or would not go. By faith, I obeyed my grandmother when she told me to take care of my mama at age 12. By faith, I endured and excelled in a private school where I was the 8th African-American to attend in 78 years. By faith, I was guided and gifted to go to Princeton, fail out, go back and graduate under the unction of testifying to children that I did not even have yet. By faith, I am a father of three Brilliant, Beautiful and Blessed girls.
