Effective Not Perfect
So often you hear the statement that Pastors are JUST human. They are human but they are not just human. First of all this is often stated to cover up the fact that their pastor has screwed up either in his actions personally or in his leadership. The statement is not usually used to state the fact that they are human. Instead it is used to cover up the fact that they are flawed….the question is are they repentently flawed. Do they take accountability for their actions. Is their ministry transparent enough to give the non believer the whole truth and nothing but the truth? Usually not. Here’s what is missing.
The pastors are supposed to have, exhibit and cultivate the heart of God and not settle for the heart of the fallible man that was called…if they were called.
No need to settle because with God all things are possible! Then with God being the drive and substance of their ministry, the pastor is supposed to be feeding the people with knowledge and understanding! FEED ME! I should not be hungry under the ministry of God’s pastor. FEED ME! I need to be given substance and not mess…truth and not lies…power and not weakness.
