Call Him
The old folks in church always referred to the task of “calling up on the name of the Lord”, and I really did not know what they were talking about. I had understood need to get the attention of God for the purpose of getting help, but how did I do that? How did I do or say something that would get the attention of God and cause Him to attend to m needs? Why would He want to listen to me in the first place? Then what would ever make Him want to look to me when I was the one who was denying Him. God saw it!
I did not just ask God to hear my prayer. I also needed for Him to do something.
I needed for God to 1)inclined His ear, 2)show lovingkindness, and 3)blot out my transgressions. How bold of me to go to God when I know that I am not “right” but still asking and expecting all of this! But, HE WILL! God will hear my prayer, be loving as I know He can and will clean up my mess! God can and God will! God did it! God set my soul free one day. I will ever be grateful So I call Him…in the morning…I call Him…in the midnight hour…I call Him when I am in trouble…I call Him!
