The believer needs to be true. True to who they are and true to who God is. With this truth as a foundation, there are limitless possibilities to their growth and potential!
This “true” nature will first be revealed in how they love.
Love will have a depth that no act could ever replicate. Love is done with no regrets or ulterior motives. There should not be hidden intentions. There should not be glossed over emotions. There should not be a face that is different than the spirit and thoughts within. The love shown should be the true character and intention of the face and person giving it! “Smiling in your face all the time wanting to take your place” is the slogan of backstabbers by the O’Jays. Ralph Ellison wrote of love given to the unseen…without a genuine destination. How do we make sure that the love that we show is true and genuine? We do so with clarity! Stay away from evil and hold on to good. Turn from evil ways and lean to good things. Throw away evil and add to your self good. If we do this, the love that we share will not be contaminated and will be empowered by the goodness of God. Then LOVE is GOD and GOD is LOVE!
