Who’s Running Your Show?
That is the primary problem with humanity in the context of trying to live as believers in Jesus, the Christ. We “make provision” for the flesh. We feed the flesh. We give time the fleshly desires and connotations. We give the flesh the attention that it does not deserve. We make decisions based on the flesh. We live as fleshly beings and not spiritual beings. All of these approaches are counterproductive to our growth and stability in God! What grows is what we feed.
If we feed the flesh then the flesh grows in strength. If we feed the Holy Spirit within, then God will govern more and more of our lives.
The problem arises when we talk one thing and then do another. We will talk about how God is sovereign over our lives, but we will attend to and satisfy the flesh FIRST! We are supposed to seek FIRST the Kingdom of Heaven and ALL His righteousness….but we do not. God is waiting to be the author and finisher of your faith…if you let Him! God will not force himself into our lives. We have to let him in!!! O come magnify the Lord with me!!! We gotta make God bigger than our temptations, bigger than our issues, bigger than our frustrations, bigger than our enemy!!!!
