I Wanna LIVE!
Paul I this scripture in Romans affirms truths that are necessary for us to truly feel and live the victory that has already been won through Jesus, the Christ.
Firstly, the “old man” or the condemnation of sin died with the death of Jesus, the Christ, on the old rugged cross.
We don’t have to fear that “old man” because he is now dead.
Secondly, there is the manifestation of this “old man” in our individual lives.
Don’t think that this “self” is who you are. Don’t feel limited or confined to the failure of this “self”. If we accept the death of the “old man” then we by nature embrace the destruction of his manifestation in our lives. We know what we did before but we don’t have to do it now. We know how we acted before but we don’t have to act like that now!!!
Then, thirdly, we don’t have to GIVE UP or GIVE IN to sin!
Our future does not have to be guided by sin. Since that “old man” has died, since the manifestation of that “old man” then can be eliminated, we can then live RIGHTEOUS in spite of our past…in spite of our weaknesses.
