Declared Victory
There are times when I feel like a failure. I feel that no matter what I do it will inevitably end in failure. There are times when I feel weak. I use fear to protect me. I use anger to make my presence known. I use envy to justify my being alone. There are times when I cannot find my way. It almost doesn’t matter whose fault it is. I just don’t know which way to go. Then when I try to play it off and take a direction, I always end up farther away from where I need to be. There are times when I do wrong when I was trying to do right. How frustrating it is for the right intention to yield the wrong result! There are times when more things collapse than what I can build. I move three steps forward and four steps back. These situations make the regular/normal/average person say, “Why bother?!?”
However, the believer who is rooted and ground in Jesus can proclaim the opposite…”I am more than a conqueror!”
The bible teaches us that we have the victory through Jesus, the Christ. But the believer can go even further that we are MORE than just conquerors. The victory that we have through Jesus is MORE than the world can conceive, MORE than our lives would predict, MORE than our praise can express and definitely MORE than we ever deserved!!!
