God’s Mercy
The world leads us to think that we can earn anything that we want if we work for it hard enough. That is so wrong. Our flesh makes us think that we deserve to get what want based on who we are and what we do. That is so wrong also. God’s mercy is the prime example. God does not show mercy on anyone and everyone. God shows mercy on those who are HIS! I know I want His mercy! I want God’s mercy because it is only through His mercy that I can make it through some of the things that I have ended up in the middle of. It is only through God’s mercy that I can expect a result that I don’t deserve. It is only through His mercy that I can enjoy a life that was meant to be a continual dying. His mercy is critical. I can’t get it by my own work. No matter how much I do or how much I try or how much I give…I can’t get His mercy. I can’t get it by my own cunning or strategizing.
God’s Mercy is of God and not of me.
God’s mercy is not of my own conception…but of God’s. God has made mercy for me and me for mercy! Mercy conditions me for my reward, prepares me for my journey, strengthens me for my battle and lifts me for His Glory. Thank You, Father, for Your MERCY!!!
